ACADEMIC | TASK2

In recent years, the number of private vehicles on the roads has surged significantly in many parts of the worlds. This increase has led to several issues, such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and difficulties in finding parking spaces. In this essay, I will discuss about the reasons behind this rise and solutions to mitigate the problems.

One of the primary causes of the rise in private vehicles on the roads is the growing global population, particularly in urban areas. As cities expand, more people require transportation to commute to work, school, or leisure activities, and many prefer the convenience of owning a car. Additionally, economic growth in many developing countries has made it more affordable for the middle class to purchase vehicles. Car ownership also often seen as a status symbol and a marker of success, further encouraging individuals to buy private vehicles.

Another contributing factors is the inadequate public transportation in many regions. In cities where public transit is unreliable, inefficient, or unsafe, people opt for the convenience and comfort of their cars. Moreover, car manufacturers frequently offer attractive designs and fantastic discounts, making people more interested in purchasing them.

To address these issues, one possible solution is to invest in the development of efficient and sustainable public transportation systems. Governments can improve the accessibility, frequency, and safety of buses, trains, and subways, thereby encouraging more people to use public transit instead of driving. Another solution could be the introduction of carpooling programs or incentives of using electric vehicles, which would reduce both traffic congestion and air pollution. The government also should make a good access for walking because there are a. lot of people who love walking but couldn’t do it because of the lack of walking facilities.

In conclusion, the rise in private vehicles is driven by factors such as population growth, economic development, and inadequate public trasportation. However, by improving public transit systems, promoting carpooling, and make cities more walkable, these problems can be effectively addressed, leading to less congestion and pollution in the future.

  • Lexical Resource: 6
  • Grammatical Range and Accuracy: 5

The essay provides a good overview of the causes and solutions related to increased private vehicle use. However, it lacks depth and some arguments are underdeveloped. While generally coherent, the essay could benefit from better organization and smoother transitions. The vocabulary is adequate but some phrases are not used effectively (e.g., "make cities more walkable"). The essay has some grammatical errors (e.g., "make a good access for walking"). The essay would be improved by adding more specific examples and providing more detailed analysis of the solutions.
