You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. In some countries university students live at home with their family while they study, whereas in other countries students attend university in another city. Do you think the benefits of living away from home during university outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.

Students in some countries prefer to choose university near to home while the others choose to step outside the city for the same. In this essay i will be discussing on the advantages and disadvantages of both the scenarios and will be giving my opinion.
Staying at home gives students a comfortable and more leisure life as they are mostly dependent on their family for food, money, laundry and many more. On the other hand for students studying away from home tend to be less comfortable and take few months to get adapted to the new environment. They have to develop new habits and learn to be more independent. The time available for themseleves as they will have other house chores which makes it more difficult especially in the start. Kids who are very sensitive tend to fall home sick and might take more time to get adjusted which might also affect their studies. Staying at home can be cost cutting as well.
In contrary, students studying in different cities tend to have more confidence in life than those at home. They are more challenging and adaptable to any given situation which makes their life easier in future. One of the drawbacks of studying at home is being pampered by our loved ones which makes them take life lightly. Major disadvantage of living with family even during university level is losing opportunities. For example, a student with great caliber doing biotechnology in any normal university at his native is not the same as doing the same in University with international level recognision. Another note worthy drawback is that decision making for the child will be bias and influenced by peer. A student living away will have the courage and oppurtunity to make his decisions. There will be no much of peer pressure on him.
From my experience, I agree with the fact that living away from home during university is more benificial. My decision of stepping out of my comfort zone and not studying in my native was one of the best decisions. It was that decision because of which I am what I am right now. Engineering colleges are not well established in my hometown. If I chose to stay, may be my dream of reaching heights would remain a dream forever. Now that i stepped out and saw the market for my branch of interest, it has paved my path towards my goal of serving the field. Though it was a dark path in the beginning, it seems to be worth taking. In conclusion, I agree to the fact that living away from home can be difficult and comes with a set of potholes but is very advantageous.
